Program Overview:
2025 has been an interesting year for fraud. From high dollar BEC frauds, crypto frauds
galore, record breaking data breaches, prolific ransomware attacks, personal information
provided all over the internet, government embezzlement, corporate financial statement
fraud, etc. This course will review recent frauds and discuss what went wrong. We will
review how the frauds occurred, how they were discovered, and how the victims were
affected. We will discuss how the 2025 frauds affected accounting, auditing, and
governance. We will discuss how and when to report fraud. We will review some of the
compliance requirements that are currently in place to prevent and detect frauds from
occurring in the future.
